History of the TOAF project — from an unknown initiative to a globally recognised diagnostic tool for Rover 75 / MG ZT.
The TOAF project started as a grassroots initiative — born out of the need to solve problems that factory diagnostic tools could not handle.
At first it was not welcomed. Particularly by communities that relied on original, expensive solutions — for whom a free, flexible alternative was seen as a threat.
Over time, however, the situation began to change. TOAF started reaching a growing number of users — both private owners and workshops. It turned out that flexibility and the absence of restrictions mattered more than being "official".
Today, after years of development:
A few years ago it competed in search results with completely different meanings of the name. Today — without intensive marketing — TOAF appears in top positions as the diagnostic tool for Rover/MG.
That is the best proof of how strong a position the project has earned.
The project is still alive — and still growing.
